Speaker after speaker deriding charter school bill

- in Legislative Watch

Despite some amendments that are apparently designed to address some of the more outrageous omissions in the charter school dereg bill, speaker after speaker from around the state is testifying against the proposal this morning in the House Education Committee.

In keeping with the practice of the General Assembly this year, however, speakers are being limited to two minutes each. That ought to provide for full and fair consideration of such an important and complex topic.
